It is comprised of 22 non-merge commits since v2.3.3,\ncontributed by 9 people, 1 of which is a new face.  All these fixes\nhave already been in the 'master' branch for some time.\n\nThe tarballs are found at:\n\n    https://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/\n\nThe following public repositories all have a copy of the 'v2.3.4'\ntag and the 'maint' branch that the tag points at:\n\n  url = https://kernel.googlesource.com/pub/scm/git/git\n  url = git://repo.or.cz/alt-git.git\n  url = https://code.google.com/p/git-core/\n  url = git://git.sourceforge.jp/gitroot/git-core/git.git\n  url = git://git-core.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/git-core/git-core\n  url = https://github.com/gitster/git\n\nKarthik Nayak joined the Git development community as a new\ncontributor whose contributions weren't in v2.3.3.  Welcome.\n\nReturning contributors who helped this release are as follows.\nThanks for your continued support.\n\n  Alexander Kuleshov, Eric Sunshine, Junio C Hamano, Kyle J. McKay,\n  Michael J Gruber, René Scharfe, SZEDER Gábor, and Torsten\n  Bögershausen.\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nGit v2.3.4 Release Notes\n========================\n\nFixes since v2.3.3\n------------------\n\n * The 'color.status.unmerged' configuration was not described.\n\n * \"git log --decorate\" did not reset colors correctly around the\n   branch names.\n\n * \"git -C '' subcmd\" refused to work in the current directory, unlike\n   \"cd ''\" which silently behaves as a no-op.\n\n * \"git imap-send\" learned to optionally talk with an IMAP server via\n   libcURL; because there is no other option when Git is built with\n   NO_OPENSSL option, use that codepath by default under such\n   configuration.\n\n * A workaround for certain build of GPG that triggered false breakage\n   in a test has been added.\n\n * \"git rebase -i\" recently started to include the number of\n   commits in the insn sheet to be processed, but on a platform\n   that prepends leading whitespaces to \"wc -l\" output, the numbers\n   are shown with extra whitespaces that aren't necessary.\n\n * We did not parse username followed by literal IPv6 address in SSH\n   transport URLs, e.g. ssh://user@[2001:db8::1]:22/repo.git\n   correctly.\n\nAlso contains typofixes, documentation updates and trivial code clean-ups.\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nChanges since v2.3.3 are as follows:\n\nAlexander Kuleshov (1):\n      git: make was_alias and done_help non-static\n\nEric Sunshine (2):\n      rebase-interactive: suppress whitespace preceding item count\n      rebase-interactive: re-word \"item count\" comment\n\nJunio C Hamano (8):\n      Documentation/config.txt: avoid unnecessary negation\n      Documentation/config.txt: explain multi-valued variables once\n      Documentation/config.txt: describe the structure first and then meaning\n      Documentation/config.txt: have a separate \"Values\" section\n      Documentation/config.txt: describe 'color' value type in the \"Values\" section\n      Documentation/config.txt: simplify boolean description in the syntax section\n      log --decorate: do not leak \"commit\" color into the next item\n      Git 2.3.4\n\nKarthik Nayak (1):\n      git: treat \"git -C '<path>'\" as a no-op when <path> is empty\n\nKyle J. McKay (2):\n      imap-send: use cURL automatically when NO_OPENSSL defined\n      t7510: do not fail when gpg warns about insecure memory\n\nMichael J Gruber (1):\n      config,completion: add color.status.unmerged\n\nRené Scharfe (2):\n      zlib: initialize git_zstream in git_deflate_init{,_gzip,_raw}\n      use isxdigit() for checking if a character is a hexadecimal digit\n\nSZEDER Gábor (2):\n      completion: add a test for __git_remotes() helper function\n      completion: simplify __git_remotes()\n\nTorsten Bögershausen (3):\n      connect.c: allow ssh://user@[2001:db8::1]/repo.git\n      t5601: add more test cases for IPV6\n      t5500: show user name and host in diag-url\n"}]}
