If you can find a way to make RTC\noutput data in that format, either by using a pre-existing script or\nwriting one yourself, git will happily import it.\n-- \nbrian m. carlson / brian with sandals: Houston, Texas, US\n+1 832 623 2791 | http://www.crustytoothpaste.net/~bmc | My opinion only\nOpenPGP: RSA v4 4096b: 88AC E9B2 9196 305B A994 7552 F1BA 225C 0223 B187\n"},{"id":"255486","messageId":"1422791406383-7624818.post@n2.nabble.com","threadId":"37481","inReplyTo":"43622BFE4D7C4B4094E4A212BD8B2B0353B69B31C7@isifboise45.isif.state.id.us","subject":"Re: Importing from RTC to GIT","fromName":"Joker","fromEmail":"joker@byom.de","sentAt":"2015-02-01T11:50:06Z","receivedAt":"2015-02-01T11:50:06Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"joker@byom.de","avatar":null},"body":"Its the more or less the same response as I wrote in the stackoverflow\nthread.\nTo begin with, we run into the same issue...\n\nWe also wanted to keep our history and didnt found anything. So we started\nto create a python script, which automates the process to migrate RTC SCM\nStream by Stream to GIT.\n\nThe script(s) can be found here: https://github.com/WtfJoke/rtc2git\n\nIt doesnt work with git fast import, though. But its a possible way to\nmigrate your components. You can read how it works on the stackoverflow-post\nor in the project description.\nThe script is not finished yet, but in a good state. With that I was able to\nmigrate some components sucesfully already (the rtc commands take some time\nfor completion, therefore it takes quite a lot of time to migrate stuff).\n\n\n\n--\nView this message in context: http://git.661346.n2.nabble.com/Importing-from-RTC-to-GIT-tp7617984p7624818.html\nSent from the git mailing list archive at Nabble.com.\n"}]}
