It's still there.\n\nAre you stuck with an older version of git that doesn't have it? When I saw it didn't have git\nshow which I have at home I did a git pull, recompile, reinstall.\n\nThe new git didn't have git show, so I thought it had been removed\nafter all.  Turns out, the git pull had broken halfway due to the old\nversion of git.  It hadn't fast forwarded _all_ the versions.  But the\nnew git, while not current, has been able to do the complete git pull\nthis time.
