Here fewest commits different is defined as the number of\n  commits which would be shown by git log tag..input will be the\n  smallest number of commits possible.\n\n\nWhat's going on here?\n\n\nThe repository: https://bitbucket.org/petsc/petsc\n\nThis repository currently uses only lightweight tags.
