(exclamation),\n which may confuse users to expect a \"negative match\", which does\n not exist. This has been demoted to a warning; such an entry is\n still ignored.\n\n * \"git apply --summary\" has been taught to make sure the similarity\n value shown in its output is sensible, even when the input had a\n bogus value.\n\n * \"git clean\" showed what it was going to do, but sometimes ended\n up finding that it was not allowed to do so, which resulted in a\n confusing output (e.g. after saying that it will remove an\n untracked directory, it found an embedded git repository there\n which it is not allowed to remove). It now performs the actions\n and then reports the outcome more faithfully.\n\n * \"git clone\" used to allow --bare and --separate-git-dir=$there\n options at the same time, which was nonsensical.\n\n * \"git cvsimport\" mishandled timestamps at DST boundary.\n\n * We used to have an arbitrary 32 limit for combined diff input,\n resulting in incorrect number of leading colons shown when showing\n the \"--raw --cc\" output.\n\n * The smart HTTP clients forgot to verify the content-type that comes\n back from the server side to make sure that the request is being\n handled properly.\n\n * \"git help remote-helpers\" failed to find the documentation.\n\n * \"gitweb\" pages served over HTTPS, when configured to show picon or\n gravatar, referred to these external resources to be fetched via\n HTTP, resulting in mixed contents warning in browsers.\n\nAlso contains various documentation fixes.\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nChanges since v1.8.1.4 are as follows:\n\nAndrej E Baranov (1):\n gitweb: refer to picon/gravatar images over the same scheme\n\nAndrew Wong (1):\n Documentation/githooks: Fix linkgit\n\nAsheesh Laroia (1):\n git-mergetool: print filename when it contains %\n\nBen Walton (3):\n Move Git::SVN::get_tz to Git::get_tz_offset\n perl/Git.pm: fix get_tz_offset to properly handle DST boundary cases\n cvsimport: format commit timestamp ourselves without using strftime\n\nBrad King (1):\n Documentation/submodule: Add --force to update synopsis\n\nDavid Aguilar (3):\n mergetools/p4merge: Honor $TMPDIR for the /dev/null placeholder\n difftool--helper: fix printf usage\n p4merge: fix printf usage\n\nErik Faye-Lund (1):\n parse-options: report uncorrupted multi-byte options\n\nGreg Price (1):\n Documentation: \"advice\" is uncountable\n\nJeff King (2):\n http_request: reset \"type\" strbuf before adding\n Makefile: avoid infinite loop on configure.ac change\n\nJiang Xin (1):\n Add utf8_fprintf helper that returns correct number of columns\n\nJohn Keeping (3):\n Rename {git- => git}remote-helpers.txt\n builtin/apply: tighten (dis)similarity index parsing\n t4038: add tests for \"diff --cc --raw <trees>\"\n\nJunio C Hamano (7):\n doc: mention tracking for pull.default\n combine-diff: lift 32-way limit of combined diff\n t5551: fix expected error output\n user-manual: typofix (ofthe->of the)\n Prepare for 1.8.1.5\n Update draft release notes to 1.8.1.5\n Git 1.8.1.5\n\nMatthieu Moy (1):\n git.txt: update description of the configuration mechanism\n\nMichael J Gruber (1):\n git-bisect.txt: clarify that reset quits bisect\n\nNguyễn Thái Ngọc Duy (1):\n clone: forbid --bare --separate-git-dir <dir>\n\nShawn O.
