Included in this\nemail is a summary of the issue, and it is fully detailed in this\nstackoverflow question:\nhttp://stackoverflow.com/questions/13183534/why-does-git-rebase-leave-opposite-sets-of-modifications-in-the-stage-and-the\n\nI and several other people think it's a bug, but I could not find any\nreference to it in the mailing list archive.\n\nSome people have the same issue with the same svn repository, which is\nquite large.\n\nUnfortunately I have not been able to reproduce it completely from\nscratch with a new svn repository. I seems to happen only on large\nrepository with a lot of history, branches, and files.\n\nHere is the summary:\n\n*What I wanted to do:*\n\nIn a branch tracking an svn remote, fetch team's content and rebase my\ncommit after them.\n\n\n*What I did:*\n\nGit version: \"git version 1.7.10.msysgit.1\"\nWith a clean working copy and empty index, I typed: \"git svn rebase\"\n\n\n*What I expected:*\n\nFetch a couple of commits, then a successful rebase, with at the end\nan empty index, and a clean working copy.\n\n\n*What actually happened:*\n\nFetch a couple of commits, then a successful rebase, with at the end\nan index containing modification that revert my commit, and a working\ncopy containing the expected content (\"the revert of the revert\")\n\n\nPlease feel free to contact me directly or via the SO question for any\nuseful additional information.\n\nThanks,\nSamuel Rossille\n"}]}
