I have gone a step further on my box and\nset core.eol to \"lf\", and still get the same result: conversion of LFs\nto CRLFs on a newly created file. Full reproduction:\n\n$ cat /etc/redhat-release; git --version\nFedora release 17 (Beefy Miracle)\ngit version 1.7.11.2\n$ git config -l\ncore.autocrlf=true\ncore.eol=lf\n$ rm -rf test; mkdir test; cd test; git init; echo bar >foo.txt; git add foo.txt\nInitialized empty Git repository in /tmp/test/.git/\nwarning: LF will be replaced by CRLF in foo.txt.\nThe file will have its original line endings in your working directory.\n"}]}
