Makefile variable NO_THREAD_SAFE_PREAD can be defined to\n   avoid use of this function in a threaded program.\n\n * \"git add\" allows adding a regular file to the path where a\n   submodule used to exist, but \"git update-index\" does not allow an\n   equivalent operation to Porcelain writers.\n\n * \"git archive\" incorrectly computed the header checksum; the symptom\n   was observed only when using pathnames with hi-bit set.\n\n * \"git blame\" did not try to make sure that the abbreviated commit\n   object names in its output are unique.\n\n * Running \"git bundle verify\" on a bundle that records a complete\n   history said \"it requires these 0 commits\".\n\n * \"git clone --single-branch\" to clone a single branch did not limit\n   the cloning to the specified branch.\n\n * \"git diff --no-index\" did not correctly handle relative paths and\n   did not correctly give exit codes when run under \"--quiet\" option.\n\n * \"git diff --no-index\" did not work with pagers correctly.\n\n * \"git diff COPYING HEAD:COPYING\" gave a nonsense error message that\n   claimed that the treeish HEAD did not have COPYING in it.\n\n * When \"git log\" gets \"--simplify-merges/by-decoration\" together with\n   \"--first-parent\", the combination of these options makes the\n   simplification logic to use in-core commit objects that haven't\n   been examined for relevance, either producing incorrect result or\n   taking too long to produce any output.  Teach the simplification\n   logic to ignore commits that the first-parent traversal logic\n   ignored when both are in effect to work around the issue.\n\n * \"git ls-files --exclude=t -i\" did not consider anything under t/ as\n   excluded, as it did not pay attention to exclusion of leading paths\n   while walking the index.  Other two users of excluded() are also\n   updated.\n\n * \"git request-pull $url dev\" when the tip of \"dev\" branch was tagged\n   with \"ext4-for-linus\" used the contents from the tag in the output\n   but still asked the \"dev\" branch to be pulled, not the tag.\n\nAlso contains minor typofixes and documentation updates.\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nChanges since v1.7.11.1 are as follows:\n\nCarlos Martín Nieto (2):\n      Documentation: --no-walk is no-op if range is specified\n      git-cherry-pick.txt: clarify the use of revision range notation\n\nHeiko Voigt (1):\n      update-index: allow overwriting existing submodule index entries\n\nJeff King (3):\n      fix pager.diff with diff --no-index\n      do not run pager with diff --no-index --quiet\n      diff: handle relative paths in no-index\n\nJunio C Hamano (15):\n      request-pull: really favor a matching tag\n      ls-files -i: pay attention to exclusion of leading paths\n      ls-files -i: micro-optimize path_excluded()\n      tweak \"bundle verify\" of a complete history\n      path_excluded(): update API to less cache-entry centric\n      builtin/add.c: use path_excluded()\n      unpack-trees.c: use path_excluded() in check_ok_to_remove()\n      dir.c: make excluded() file scope static\n      revision: \"simplify\" options imply topo-order sort\n      revision: note the lack of free() in simplify_merges()\n      archive: ustar header checksum is computed unsigned\n      revision: ignore side parents while running simplify-merges\n      index-pack: Disable threading on cygwin\n      blame: compute abbreviation width that ensures uniqueness\n      Git 1.7.11.2\n\nLeila Muhtasib (1):\n      Documentation: Fix misspellings\n\nMatthieu Moy (2):\n      sha1_name: do not trigger detailed diagnosis for file arguments\n      verify_filename(): ask the caller to chose the kind of diagnosis\n\nMichał Górny (1):\n      git-submodule.sh: fix filename in comment.\n\nNguyễn Thái Ngọc Duy (1):\n      clone: fix ref selection in --single-branch --branch=xxx\n\nPeter Krefting (1):\n      Update Swedish translation (1066t0f0u)\n\nThomas Badie (1):\n      git-add--interactive.perl: Remove two unused variables\n\nTim Henigan (1):\n      diff-no-index: exit(1) if 'diff --quiet <repo file> <external file>' finds changes\n"}]}
