The fix is not entirely correct when the output also asks for\n   --patch and/or --stat, though.\n\n * The DWIM behaviour for \"log --pretty=format:%gd -g\" was somewhat\n   broken and gave undue precedence to configured log.date, causing\n   \"git stash list\" to show \"stash@{time stamp string}\".\n\n * \"git status --porcelain\" ignored \"--branch\" option by mistake.  The\n   output for \"git status --branch -z\" was also incorrect and did not\n   terminate the record for the current branch name with NUL as asked.\n\n * When a submodule repository uses alternate object store mechanism,\n   some commands that were started from the superproject did not\n   notice it and failed with \"No such object\" errors.  The subcommands\n   of \"git submodule\" command that recursed into the submodule in a\n   separate process were OK; only the ones that cheated and peeked\n   directly into the submodule's repository from the primary process\n   were affected.\n\nAlso contains minor fixes and documentation updates.\n\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nChanges since v1.7.10.2 are as follows:\n\nBobby Powers (2):\n      diff --no-index: reset temporary buffer lengths on directory iteration\n      diff --no-index: don't leak buffers in queue_diff\n\nCarlos Martín Nieto (1):\n      pack-protocol: fix first-want separator in the examples\n\nErik Faye-Lund (2):\n      clone: fix progress-regression\n      checkout: do not corrupt HEAD on empty repo\n\nHeiko Voigt (2):\n      link to gitmodules page at the beginning of git-submodule documentation\n      teach add_submodule_odb() to look for alternates\n\nJan Krüger (1):\n      log-tree: use custom line terminator in line termination mode\n\nJeff King (10):\n      docs: stop using asciidoc no-inline-literal\n      t1411: add more selector index/date tests\n      log: respect date_mode_explicit with --format:%gd\n      reflog-walk: clean up \"flag\" field of commit_reflog struct\n      reflog-walk: always make HEAD@{0} show indexed selectors\n      commit: refactor option parsing\n      status: refactor null_termination option\n      status: fix null termination with \"-b\"\n      status: respect \"-b\" for porcelain format\n      osxkeychain: pull make config from top-level directory\n\nJens Lehmann (1):\n      Consistently use \"superproject\" instead of \"supermodule\"\n\nJiang Xin (4):\n      l10n: Update git.pot (1 new messages)\n      l10n: zh_CN.po: translate 1 new message\n      l10n: Update git.pot (3 new, 2 removed messages)\n      l10n: zh_CN.po: translate 3 new messages\n\nJohannes Sixt (3):\n      t2020-checkout-detach: check for the number of orphaned commits\n      checkout (detached): truncate list of orphaned commits at the new HEAD\n      t3404: begin \"exchange commits with -p\" test with correct preconditions\n\nJonathan Nieder (1):\n      config doc: remove confusion about relative GIT_DIR from FILES section\n\nJunio C Hamano (5):\n      log-tree: the previous one is still not quite right\n      reflog-walk: tell explicit --date=default from not having --date at all\n      Start preparing for 1.7.10.3\n      Update draft release notes to 1.7.10.3\n      Git 1.7.10.3\n\nLinus Torvalds (1):\n      fmt-merge-message: add empty line between tag and signature verification\n\nRalf Thielow (7):\n      l10n: add new members to German translation team\n      l10n: de.po: translate \"track\" as \"beobachten\"\n      l10n: de.po: translate \"remote\" as \"extern\"\n      l10n: de.po: collection of improvements\n      l10n: de.po: unify translation of \"ahead\" and \"behind\"\n      l10n: de.po: translate one new message\n      l10n: de.po: translate 3 new messages\n\nThomas Rast (4):\n      l10n: de.po: translate \"bare\" as \"bloß\"\n      l10n: de.po: hopefully uncontroversial fixes\n      l10n: de.po: translate \"bad\" as \"ungültig\" (\"invalid\")\n      l10n: de.po: collection of suggestions\n"}]}
