Specifically, protocol-common.txt and pack-protocol.txt\ndescribe what happens over the regular protocol. The http version of the\nprotocol just splits that into chunks, but the output that upload-pack\nproduces is the same.\n\nYou mentioned \"pushing\", though, which does not involve git-upload-pack\nat all. Did you mean git-receive-pack? From your description, I guess\nmaybe you mean the \"command-list\" lines sent by send-pack to\nreceive-pack? They are defined pack-protocol.txt. See the subsection\n\"Reference Update Request and Packfile Transfer\" under \"Pushing Data to\na Server\".\n\n-Peff\n"},{"id":"191954","messageId":"4FBC091F.2070705@intland.com","threadId":"30593","inReplyTo":"20120522181240.GA20305@sigill.intra.peff.net","subject":"Re: git-upload-pack stream","fromName":"Tajti Ákos","fromEmail":"akos.tajti@intland.com","sentAt":"2012-05-22T21:46:08Z","receivedAt":"2012-05-22T21:46:08Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"akos.tajti@intland.com","avatar":null},"body":"Jeff,\n\nthanks for the information\n\nÁkos\n\n2012.05.22. 20:12 keltezéssel, Jeff King írta:\n> On Tue, May 22, 2012 at 06:35:47PM +0200, Tajti Ákos wrote:\n>\n>> when pushing through http git-http-backend gets a stream of object\n>> when sending the git-upload-packl command.
