If you\nhave access to the Internet, you can correct the necessary documents\nin any convenient location. But the good applications for mobile\nphones is not available. On this, my main idea is to create a GUI GIT\nclient for the popular OS (android, IOS, Symbian, and others) with\nsyntax highlighting for popular programming languages (C + +, java,\nphp, python, perl, html, css, JavaScript, etc.).\n\nimplementation\n\nTo begin, I'll implement a simpler version. The task at least, is:\n\nCreating a full-fledged GUI GIT client for android;\nThe implementation of a text editor with syntax highlighting html, css\nand javascript;\nImplementation in two languages: Russian and English (for translation\ninto English, I use the services of a professional translator).\n\n\nMy ultimate goal is to implement a GUI client for mobile phones GIT\nwith syntax of programming languages.\nI want to make a specialized application for mobile phones, in which\nthe user will be able to if you are connected to the Internet through\na few clicks to connect to the repository, make changes to files,\nCommit latest changes and see what changes have been made earlier. The\napplication is divided into two main sub yes: the client GIT, through\nwhich all operations will be carried out with the repository and handy\ntext editor with syntax highlighting. Switching between them will\noccur very quickly.\nI think that the GIT community gets the most benefit from this project:\nThis will allow the use of GIT in any convenient place for the user,\nfor example, even in the subway on the way home;\nThis will make the GIT even more popular, because mobility will\nattract more users, and user-friendly interface makes use of an\nintuitive and enjoyable;\nThis allows to follow the actual trend of mobile technology today, and\nwill win the love and loyalty of users.\nI really want to do this project completely because I'm interested,\nand even the technology is very necessary to me. I spend a lot of time\non the road, and with such a program and be able to spend it usefully.\nI will have more free time to implement new ideas.\n\n\nTentative timeline:\nApril - May 14th\nRead more about GIT and android, studying examples of source code,\nsource, wiki, writing pieces of code that are useful in the future.\nDevelop a detailed work plan.\nMay 15th - June 7th\nWorking on my first part of the application GUI GIT mobile client,\nwhich must connect to the repository and exchange data. At the initial\nstage of the GUI will not be used. Writing server-side applications.\nJune 8th - June 30th\nFull implementation of the server side. The application performs most\nof the necessary commands GIT.\nJuly 1st - July 14th\nThe development of convenient and fast text editor with syntax\nhighlighting. By this time all the server-side applications must be\nfully prepared. GIT client performs all necessary functions.\nJuly 15th - July end\nDevelopment of a convenient GUI. The implementation of this Annex.\nPilot testing an application under heavy loads to the north. Alpha\ntesting of the application.\nAugust\nCode cleanup and correction of possible errors. Changes to the GUI for\nease of reference, if need be. Get ready to merge. The final beta\ntesting.\n\n\nI am the best person to work on this project because ... I have a\ngreat interest to do so, as it would be beneficial for me in the first\nplace. And I really, really want to do it. I want to finish this\nproject in any way.\nI have a good experience with open source - with your friends, I am\nwriting your own application, which unfortunately is not yet ready. I\nam using GIT every day for over two years. I have implemented several\nprograms that are very popular at my university and GIT helped me a\nlot in this. GIT several times saved me from losing important data,\nand now I want to help this project. I want to do something useful for\nthe community and the GIT and to write this application. For me it is\nvery important part in this project!\n\n\nAbout me\nI am currently a student of the Kursk State University, Department of\nComputer Science (software and management information systems), the\nsecond year of study. Besides the fact that I know C and C + +, I have\nextensive experience with the code and reading other people's code. I\nwon twice as urban programming contests and won prizes in the\nAll-Russian competitions in programming. Participation in this project\nwill be a new step in my development and significantly improve my\nreputation at the university. For me it is very important to bring\nthis project to the end and realize this vision. Also, I'm interested\nin this project, because I use every day GIT at home and at work, and\nI want to do a little better GIT.\n\n--\nView this message in context: http://git.661346.n2.nabble.com/GSoC-tp7443633p7443633.html\nSent from the git mailing list archive at Nabble.com.\n"}]}
