I  \ntracked this down to these lines in cg-commit:\n\n         [ \"$queueA\" ] && { ( echo \"${queueA[*]}\" | path_xargs git- \nupdate-index --add ${infoonly} -- ) ||\nreturn 1; }\n         [ \"$queueD\" ] && { ( echo \"${queueD[*]}\" | path_xargs git- \nupdate-index --force-remove -- ) || re\nturn 1;  }\n         [ \"$queueM\" ] && { ( echo \"${queueM[*]}\" | path_xargs git- \nupdate-index ${infoonly} -- ) || retur\nn 1; }\n\nIf I revert these lines to their form in cogito 0.13, the problem  \nresolves itself:\n\n         [ \"$queueA\" ] && { ( echo \"${queueA[*]}\" | tr \\\\n \\\\0 |  \nxargs -0 git-update-index --add ${infoon\nly} -- ) || return 1; }\n         [ \"$queueD\" ] && { ( echo \"${queueD[*]}\" | tr \\\\n \\\\0 |  \nxargs -0 git-update-index --force-remove\n-- ) || return 1;  }\n         [ \"$queueM\" ] && { ( echo \"${queueM[*]}\" | tr \\\\n \\\\0 |  \nxargs -0 git-update-index ${infoonly} --\n) || return 1; }\n\nI've seen the threads about problems with newer bash versions, but  \nthis is happening to me with bash 2.05b (/usr/bin/env bash --version  \nreports GNU bash, version 2.05b.0(1)-release (i386-redhat-linux- \ngnu)).
