Do you have a perforce\nworkspace set up, and do you have the affected files mapped into your\nworkspace so git-p4 can run p4 sync on them?\n\nOther than that, git-p4 works excellently with the regular msysgit\ntoo. Just install python the regular way on Windows (under C:\\Python27\nfor example) and add it to your path. This python runs just fine in\nthe MinGW shell too (I think it picks up any PATH changes you make in\nWindows). Then just download the git-p4 python script and make sure it\nis in your path. This is how I use it.\n\n- Thomas Berg\n"},{"id":"181867","messageId":"CABYiQpmPO33d0UUMKoa5DNWLqeKyBtYJ0azoHS0hf8zPN4suLQ@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"29285","inReplyTo":"1325604726.49597.YahooMailClassic@web132101.mail.ird.yahoo.com","subject":"Re: git-p4 under cygwin","fromName":"Thomas Berg","fromEmail":"merlin66b@gmail.com","sentAt":"2012-01-03T16:07:23Z","receivedAt":"2012-01-03T16:07:23Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"merlin66b@gmail.com","avatar":null},"body":"On Tue, Jan 3, 2012 at 4:32 PM, Paul Chown <pmchown@yahoo.co.uk> wrote:\n> Path '/cygdrive/c/work/perforce/config_test\\...' is not under client's root 'c:\\work\\perforce\\config_test'.\n\nAh, sorry, I did not see this part of the error message when I first\nreplied.
