I am using the smart http method through apache for access.\n\nWhen I try to push to the remote server this is what I get:\n\n$ git push origin master\nPassword:\nCounting objects: 6, done.\nCompressing objects: 100% (3/3), done.\nWriting objects: 100% (6/6), 436 bytes, done.\nTotal 6 (delta 0), reused 0 (delta 0)\nerror: unpack failed: index-pack abnormal exit\n\nI have tried these things which made no difference:\n* chown -R apache:apache /path/to/git/repository (httpd runs as apache)\n* chown -R apache:users /path/to/git/repository\n* chmod -R 777 /path/to/git/repository (obviously not secure but wanted to\neliminate this being a file permission problem)\n\nWhat can I try to get pushing to work?\n\n--\nView this message in context: http://git.661346.n2.nabble.com/Error-pushing-to-remote-with-git-tp7038870p7038870.html\nSent from the git mailing list archive at Nabble.com.\n"}]}
