I appreciate that people translate it into\nso many languages, but personally I'm totally helpless with a German git \ngui.\n\nI know I can set LANG=en_US (that's what I actually do), but that\naffects other applications as well. Is there some environment variable\nlike GIT_LANG or so? I'll try it out. I'm not so shell'ish (more \nperl'ish) but I expect that to \"rename\"/\"alias\" git to the given \ncommand. If it works, it's great.
