If \nit doesn't start with refs/notes, then refs/notes is prepended to it.\n\nThis is a restriction we put in place to make sure the notes \ninfrastructure didn't edit (i.e. damage) any refs outside the \nrefs/notes/ namespace.\n\nWe will probably remove this restriction in a future Git version. Until \nthen, please keep your notes within the refs/notes/ namespace.\n\n\n...Johan\n\n-- \nJohan Herland, <johan@herland.net>\nwww.herland.net\n"},{"id":"159479","messageId":"AANLkTimV6LguyjJEiECAVg1zLj=v-GQkrkxBez6t9HHf@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"26280","inReplyTo":"201101141149.38778.johan@herland.net","subject":"Re: How does 'git notes --ref' work?","fromName":"Edwin Kempin","fromEmail":"edwin.kempin@gmail.com","sentAt":"2011-01-14T11:14:21Z","receivedAt":"2011-01-14T11:14:21Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"edwin.kempin@gmail.com","avatar":null},"body":"Thanks for the clarification.\n"}]}
