About the\nonly thing you can do is to actually host a Subversion repository there\nand then access that via git-svn. However, that deprives you of many of\nthe big advantages of git, such as useful merging and lightning-fast\ncloning (compared to Subversion via git-svn, anyway).\n\nI would recommend that you look for a different hosting site. Other\nsites offering free git hosting for open source projects include\nSourceforge, github, gitorious and repo.or.cz. Some of these provide\nyou with instructions on how to push your code to them. In any case,\nI think you could benefit from reading a git tutorial or two.\n\nAlso, might I recommend that you create one repository per separate\nproject you want to get hosted. It's bad organization to keep several\nprojects in the same repository, and it's likely to bite you in the\nbehind eventually.\n\nHTH,\nJan\n"},{"id":"156712","messageId":"AANLkTik_HMVsHuvA00ZCcGJaOS_m8Tipq_fDyLucG9wN@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"25844","inReplyTo":"4CEFCE5E.1050003@drmicha.warpmail.net","subject":"Re: how to git with google code","fromName":"Bond","fromEmail":"jamesbond.2k.g@gmail.com","sentAt":"2010-11-27T02:50:41Z","receivedAt":"2010-11-27T02:50:41Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"jamesbond.2k.g@gmail.com","avatar":null},"body":"On Fri, Nov 26, 2010 at 8:42 PM, Michael J Gruber\n<git@drmicha.warpmail.net> wrote:\n>\n> http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/ImportingFromGit\nYour link says\n\"Naturally, your official source tree lives on some Git-capable server,\"\nwhich is not the case.I have it on my local machine and I never used git before.\n"},{"id":"156747","messageId":"AANLkTi=kuAkJSeJAWYQokOM2NFo08_98Eoodw_cz_c0r@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"25844","inReplyTo":"AANLkTik_HMVsHuvA00ZCcGJaOS_m8Tipq_fDyLucG9wN@mail.gmail.com","subject":"Re: how to git with google code","fromName":"Tay Ray Chuan","fromEmail":"rctay89@gmail.com","sentAt":"2010-11-28T04:27:27Z","receivedAt":"2010-11-28T04:27:27Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"rctay89@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/61553?v=4"},"body":"Hi,\n\nOn Sat, Nov 27, 2010 at 10:50 AM, Bond <jamesbond.2k.g@gmail.com> wrote:\n> On Fri, Nov 26, 2010 at 8:42 PM, Michael J Gruber\n> <git@drmicha.warpmail.net> wrote:\n>>\n>> http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/ImportingFromGit\n> Your link says\n> \"Naturally, your official source tree lives on some Git-capable server,\"\n> which is not the case.I have it on my local machine and I never used git before.\n\nYou can take \"official source tree\" and \"Git-capable server\" to be\nyour git repo that you git init-ed in your first post.
