I checked my reference for the mutt aliases \nformat and apparently missed the \"alias \" clearly printed out there. My \napologies.\n\nThe git send-email man page is surely sufficient for users of mutt, \nmailrc, pine, elm, gnus as they already have working configurations, but \nfor those of us that use a different MUA and just want to get some sort \nof an address book for git, it would be nice to define these formats - \nit would only take one line per format type.\n\nThanks!\n\nDarren Hart\n\n>\n>> $ git add muttaliases\n>> $ git commit -m \"aliases file\"\n>> [master (root-commit) b71ae4a] aliases file\n>> 1 files changed, 1 insertions(+), 0 deletions(-)\n>> create mode 100644 muttaliases\n>> $ git config sendemail.aliasesfile `pwd`/muttaliases\n>> $ git config sendemail.aliasfiletype mutt\n>> $ cat .git/config\n>> [core]\n>> \trepositoryformatversion = 0\n>> \tfilemode = true\n>> \tbare = false\n>> \tlogallrefupdates = true\n>> [sendemail]\n>> \taliasesfile = /home/dvhart/aliases.git/muttaliases\n>> \taliasfiletype = mutt\n>> $ git send-email --to joe -1\n>> /tmp/l0xCEC7o3d/0001-aliases-file.patch\n>> Who should the emails appear to be from?
