I am not\nsure I understand the documentation. For instance I am trying to\nimport a svn project where a portion of the history was directly at\nthe root level of the svn server. Eg:\n\n  svnadmin create test\n  mkdir out && cd out\n  svn co file:///tmp/test\n  echo \"bla\" > bla.c\n  svn add bla.c\n  svn ci -m\"First commit\"\n  mkdir trunk\n  svn add trunk\n  svn mv bla.c trunk\n  svn ci -m\"Second Commit\"\n\nNow if I try to import it using git-svn:\n\n$ git svn --no-metadata --stdlayout clone  file:///tmp/test\nInitialized empty Git repository in /tmp/git/test/.git/\n\tA\tbla.c\nr2 = d40bd2cdcc4208f54b4b092dca0a6b3f2b010fd0 (refs/remotes/trunk)\nChecked out HEAD:\n  file:///tmp/test/trunk r2\n\nClearly rev 1 was lost. Is there a way to preserve history before the\nre-root operation ?\n\nThanks a bunch !\n-- \nMathieu\n"}]}
