Nothing like ad-hoc spam filters that silently drop messages!\n> \n\nReplying to spam is actually worse, since it's impossible to know the\nreal source address of email. Many spammers used spamfilters to send\nspam when the filters used to reply to spam.\n\nNowadays one usually gets a \"here's some spam I'm not sure about\" mail\nevery once in a while, but that's obviously not going to work for a\nmailing list.\n\n> My message contained some examples of an http output stream, i dunno\n> maybe it's unhappy with some of that...\n> \n> So... what is one supposed to do in this situation?  Randomly delete\n> parts of the message and resend it until something gets through?\n> \n\nRephrase it, and possibly get rid of pasted output. I'm sure you've\nseen enough spam to know what triggers spamfilters. Removing 'smart',\nand especially 'git smart' from the subject line would probably be a\ngood idea. Levenshtein distance does matter, and 1 is not very far.\nIt's so very convenient to concatenate with just about anything if\nyou want to sell something to someone.\n\n-- \nAndreas Ericsson                   andreas.ericsson@op5.se\nOP5 AB                             www.op5.se\nTel: +46 8-230225                  Fax: +46 8-230231\n\nConsidering the successes of the wars on alcohol, poverty, drugs and\nterror, I think we should give some serious thought to declaring war\non peace.\n"}]}
