Is this right? The remote is not affected. To reproduce:\n\n$ cd /tmp &&\n    git init --bare remote.git &&\n    git clone remote.git local &&\n    cd local &&\n    touch file &&\n    git stage file &&\n    git commit -m \"add file\"\n    git push origin master\n\n$ git branch -a\n* master\n  remotes/origin/master\n\n$ git fetch origin --tags --prune\n x [deleted]         (none)     -> origin/master\n\n$ git branch -a\n* master\n\n$ git fetch \nFrom /tmp/remote\n * [new branch]      master     -> origin/master\n\n$ git branch -a\n* master\n  remotes/origin/master\n\n\nAm I just not understanding something or is this a bug?\n\nCheers,\nSteve\n"}]}
