I've gotten as far as being able to get the directory listing in\nFirefox on the Mac (same machine where Apache is running) at\nhttp://ip.address/~username/git/kc ('git/kc' is the bare repository under\n~/Sites/).\n\nI tried to follow the directions in setup-git-server-over-http.txt:\n\n- added at the end of the load module section of httpd.conf:\n\nLoadModule dav_module libexec/httpd/libdav.so\n\n- added at the end of the add module section of httpd.conf:\n\nAddModule mod_dav.c\n\n- added at the end of the file, just above the final \"include\":\n\nDAVLockDB \"/usr/local/apache2/temp/DAV.lock\"\n\n <Location /git/kc>\n DAV on\n AuthType Basic\n AuthName \"Git\"\n AuthUserFile /usr/local/apache2/conf/passwd.git\n Require valid-user\n </Location>\n\n- chmod -R ugo+w ~/Sites/git\n\ngit clone works.\n\ngit push... fails. The remote machine says that it couldn't access the\nlocation. Apache's access log shows:\n\n\"PROPFIND /~dewdrop/git/kc/ HTTP/1.1\" 404 288\n\n404?
