Tortoise have gone so far as to \nrewrite plink (Tortoiseplink.exe)so that that a prompt for the password \nis given, but this is undocumented AFAIK.\n\nOtherwise, it is an unfortunate fact that a DOS console session is \ninvoked whenever openSSH is used. For the average Windows user this is a \nscary occurrence, and is one of the obstacles that prevents wider casual \ntake up of Git on Windows IMHO.\n\nI understand that it comes down to a problem with communication between \na dialogue and an SSH client via STDOUT. I believe Dscho might have some \ninsight into this as it is a recurrent topic on the MsysGit tracker.\n\nSteve\n"},{"id":"133912","messageId":"a362e8011002072229v2036194elb39e123e3a1c6792@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"22438","inReplyTo":"4B6CA33B.8050200@googlemail.com","subject":"Re: Implement --password option for git svn perl script","fromName":"Laszlo Papp","fromEmail":"djszapi@archlinux.us","sentAt":"2010-02-08T06:29:17Z","receivedAt":"2010-02-08T06:29:17Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"djszapi@archlinux.us","avatar":null},"body":"Any workflow in this task ? :((\n\nBest Regards,\nLaszlo Papp\n"}]}
