If shell-file-name points to a shell on the local machine but not\n   on the remote server, a remote magit-status fails.  I had to\n   create a symlink from /bin/bash to /usr/local/bin/bash on my\n   FreeBSD server before it would work\n\n2. Any attempt to stage changes fails for me.
