Cloning from your \nwindows machine the OSX repo won't be slower than cloning from the \noriginal repo? Or I missed something...\n\nIf you are speaking about a git-svn clone, I understand. In this case I \ngenerally I just rsync the .git directory from one machine to the other:\n\n $ mkdir project\n $ cd project\n $ rsync -a machine:/path/to/project/.git .\n $ git reset --hard HEAD\n\nAnd you are done.\n\nPascal.\n\n-- \n\n--|------------------------------------------------------\n--| Pascal Obry Team-Ada Member\n--| 45, rue Gabriel Peri - 78114 Magny Les Hameaux FRANCE\n--|------------------------------------------------------\n--| http://www.obry.net - http://v2p.fr.eu.org\n--| \"The best way to travel is by means of imagination\"\n--|\n--| gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-key F949BD3B\n"},{"id":"127352","messageId":"20091111170833.GB45475@gmail.com","threadId":"21581","inReplyTo":"4AFABCF8.9060601@syntevo.com","subject":"Re: Move repository from OS X to Windows","fromName":"David Aguilar","fromEmail":"davvid@gmail.com","sentAt":"2009-11-11T17:08:35Z","receivedAt":"2009-11-11T17:08:35Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"davvid@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/13196?v=4"},"body":"On Wed, Nov 11, 2009 at 02:32:40PM +0100, Thomas Singer wrote:\n> Hi,\n> \n> I've cloned a very large repository on OS X and want to move that to Windows\n> (trying to avoid to clone the repository a second time).
