And as a newbie to \ngit it could well be I'm just being stupid, but ...\n\nI installed msysgit, did a clone on the msysgit repository, and followed \nthe instructions, namely double-click on msys.bat. It falls over with \n\"no target for make install\" - I know make well enough to know that \n*sounds* *like* a messed up makefile. But lack of experience means \ntrying to track how it got there defeats me.
