Here is what I have done:\n\nI have cloned the repository using:\n\n $ git svn clone --prefix=svn/ file:///path/repo \\\n\t--revision=15314:HEAD --trunk=trunk/project \\\n\t--tags=tags/project --branches=branches/project \\\n\t--branches=\"branches/global/*/project\" project\n\nNot simple, ok but working :)\n\nNow I have converted the file:// to svn+ssh:// using:\n\n $ git gc\n\n $ git filter-branch --msg-filter \\\n 'sed \"s,git-svn-id: file:///path/repo,git-svn-id: \nsvn+ssh://server/repo,g\"' \\\n $(cat .git/packed-refs | awk '// {print $2}' | grep -v 'pack-refs')\n\n $ rm -fr .git/svn\n\nI have edited .git/config to change the url string too.\n\nUp to there, no problem. But when trying to rebase and reconstruct all \nrev_map files with:\n\n $ git svn rebase\n\nI get the following lines again and again:\n\nRebuilding \n.git/svn/svn/trunk/.rev_map.f8352e7e-cb20-0410-8ce7-b5d9e71c585c ...\nDone rebuilding \n.git/svn/svn/trunk/.rev_map.f8352e7e-cb20-0410-8ce7-b5d9e71c585c\nRebuilding \n.git/svn/svn/trunk/.rev_map.f8352e7e-cb20-0410-8ce7-b5d9e71c585c ...\nDone rebuilding \n.git/svn/svn/trunk/.rev_map.f8352e7e-cb20-0410-8ce7-b5d9e71c585c\n\n...\n\nThe file \n.git/svn/svn/trunk/.rev_map.f8352e7e-cb20-0410-8ce7-b5d9e71c585c is in \nfact not created.\n\nWhat could be wrong?\n\nHow should I proceed to debug this?\n\nAny help appreciated.\n\nLast note I've tried all this with Git 1.6.4 and 1.6.5.\n\nThanks,\nPascal.\n\n-- \n\n--|------------------------------------------------------\n--| Pascal Obry Team-Ada Member\n--| 45, rue Gabriel Peri - 78114 Magny Les Hameaux FRANCE\n--|------------------------------------------------------\n--| http://www.obry.net - http://v2p.fr.eu.org\n--| \"The best way to travel is by means of imagination\"\n--|\n--| gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-key F949BD3B\n"},{"id":"125941","messageId":"32541b130910261218x5fdc0233jcce7c5769aad73ec@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"21361","inReplyTo":"4AE5EF55.2070902@obry.net","subject":"Re: git-svn changing file:// to svn+ssh://","fromName":"Avery Pennarun","fromEmail":"apenwarr@gmail.com","sentAt":"2009-10-26T19:18:42Z","receivedAt":"2009-10-26T19:18:42Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"apenwarr@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/20592?v=4"},"body":"On Mon, Oct 26, 2009 at 2:49 PM, Pascal Obry <pascal@obry.net> wrote:\n> On a large project it is failing.
