They contain the current \ndefault, just change it to the new one. E.g. my .git/remotes/origin for \nLinux-2.6 repository is:\n\nURL: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git\nPull: master:origin\n\nBest regards,\n\n\tAnton\n-- \nAnton Altaparmakov <aia21 at cam.ac.uk> (replace at with @)\nUnix Support, Computing Service, University of Cambridge, CB2 3QH, UK\nLinux NTFS maintainer / IRC: #ntfs on irc.freenode.net\nWWW: http://linux-ntfs.sf.net/ & http://www-stu.christs.cam.ac.uk/~aia21/\n"},{"id":"10271","messageId":"7v7jc9dgm1.fsf@assigned-by-dhcp.cox.net","threadId":"2136","inReplyTo":"20051019083542.GA31526@harddisk-recovery.com","subject":"Re: git-daemon enabled on kernel.org","fromName":"Junio C Hamano","fromEmail":"junkio@cox.net","sentAt":"2005-10-19T09:02:30Z","receivedAt":"2005-10-19T09:02:30Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"gitster@pobox.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/54884?v=4"},"body":"Erik Mouw <erik@harddisk-recovery.com> writes:\n\n> How do I tell git to change the default repository to pull from?\n\nDepends on how you are currently telling git what your \"default\nrepository to pull from\" is. A while ago (when \npeople complained about gitweb.cgi taking too much load), a simple pull \nwhere my local repo was up-to-date took about 4 seconds.
