This is, I believe, a very complete git\ninstallation. There will soon be an update to 1.6.5.\n\nhttp://www.opencsw.org/packages/git\n\nIf your intent is to build it yourself, let me know and I'll share\nwith you the build recipe I use, which will outline (within the CSW\nstack) which packages are used for compilation and which for runtime\ndependencies. You should be able to translate it to use the\nlibs/tools available to solaris 10 (that aren't in 8, which we also\nsupport).\n\nHTH\n-Ben\n-- \nBen Walton\nSystems Programmer - CHASS\nUniversity of Toronto\nC:416.407.5610 | W:416.978.4302\n\nGPG Key Id: 8E89F6D2; Key Server: pgp.mit.edu\nContact me to arrange for a CAcert assurance meeting.\n"},{"id":"124606","messageId":"f488382f0910110614r144fa14g5c1eba2cc0cb5b8a@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"21188","inReplyTo":"c94f8e120910110557q764dbf19s33c52e7f5120662@mail.gmail.com","subject":"Re: Installing full fledged git on solaris?","fromName":"Steven Noonan","fromEmail":"steven@uplinklabs.net","sentAt":"2009-10-11T13:14:08Z","receivedAt":"2009-10-11T13:14:08Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"steven@uplinklabs.net","avatar":"https://gravatar.com/avatar/b0cd397a10638433f76e084531aa0af3bef85f8fdb59b1ebe2ddaf168cd100e9?d=mp&s=160"},"body":"On Sun, Oct 11, 2009 at 5:57 AM, Dilip M <dilipm79@gmail.com> wrote:\n> On Sun, Oct 11, 2009 at 5:56 PM, Dilip M <dilipm79@gmail.com> wrote:\n>> Hello,\n>>\n>>\n>> Has anyone has the list of pkg's to be installed on solaris 10 sparc,\n>> to get the GIT compiled (with all features)..\n>>\n>> thanks in advance for sharing...\n>\n> Trying to compile the latest version exit with this error\n>\n>    CC xdiff/xpatience.o\n>    AR xdiff/lib.a\n>    LINK git-fast-import\n> Undefined                       first referenced\n>  symbol                             in file\n> libiconv_close                      libgit.a(utf8.o)\n> libiconv_open                       libgit.a(utf8.o)\n> libiconv                            libgit.a(utf8.o)\n> ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors.
