The main design goals are robustness and 100% data\npreservation. cvs2svn can convert just about any CVS repository we've\never seen, including gcc, Mozilla, FreeBSD, KDE, and GNOME.\n\nRelease 2.3.0 primarily improves the support for converting to git and\nBazaar (including explicit cvs2git and cvs2bzr scripts). This release\nalso adds a few other minor features and fixes a bug when converting to\ngit with non-inline blobs.\n\nMore detailed information is available in the CHANGES file [1].\n\nNote to packagers: Beginning with this release, the man pages for the\nmain scripts are generated automatically by running the script with the\n\"--man\" option (e.g., \"cvs2svn --man >cvs2svn.1\") or by executing \"make\nman\". The tarball does *not* include the man pages anymore.\n\n\nYou can get the tarball here:\nhttp://cvs2svn.tigris.org/files/documents/1462/46528/cvs2svn-2.3.0.tar.gz\n\nThe MD5 checksum is 6c412baec974f3ff64b9145944682a15.\n\nPlease send any bug reports and comments to users@cvs2svn.tigris.org.\n\nMichael\n\n[1]\nhttp://cvs2svn.tigris.org/source/browse/cvs2svn/tags/2.3.0/CHANGES?view=markup\n\n------------------------------------------------------\nhttp://cvs2svn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=1668&dsMessageId=2386391\n\nTo unsubscribe from this discussion, e-mail: [announce-unsubscribe@cvs2svn.tigris.org].\n\n------------------------------------------------------\nhttp://cvs2svn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=1670&dsMessageId=2386392\n\nTo unsubscribe from this discussion, e-mail: [users-unsubscribe@cvs2svn.tigris.org].\n"},{"id":"121637","messageId":"alpine.DEB.1.00.0908241632470.11375@intel-tinevez-2-302","threadId":"20701","inReplyTo":"4A9074C7.4080002@alum.mit.edu","subject":"Re: Announcement: cvs2svn 2.3.0 released","fromName":"Johannes Schindelin","fromEmail":"johannes.schindelin@gmx.de","sentAt":"2009-08-24T14:33:33Z","receivedAt":"2009-08-24T14:33:33Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"johannes.schindelin@gmx.de","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/127790?v=4"},"body":"Hi,\n\nOn Sun, 23 Aug 2009, Michael Haggerty wrote:\n\n> I am happy to announce release 2.3.0 of cvs2svn/cvs2git/cvs2bzr.\n> \n> cvs2svn is a tool for migrating a CVS repository to Subversion, git,\n> Bazaar, or Mercurial.
