Yes, \"git svn fetch\" does \ncontinue for a while, then bombs out again. This morning I saw for the \nfirst time in 2 days new revisions being pulled in, so clearly that one \nrevision was a very large one. I'm trying \nagain, using a new repository directory and see what happens. It's a bug in the TCP \ntraffic handling in all SVN clients from Collabnet. Here is a recent bug \nreport about this exact issue.\n\nhttp://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/ticket/1576\n\nThe problem gets triggered on slow connections and large revisions \n(commits) or large files.\n\nOur slow connection is probably why I keep getting the issue. Even \nthough we have a 4MB ADSL connection, we hardly ever reach that speeds. \nPlus some more research revealed the shaped ADSL connection goes through \nour ISP's transparent proxy, making the connection even more flaky/slow.\n\nLuckily the FPC repository has an alternative port that it listens to as \nwell (port 8080) which bypasses the transparent proxy. Using the new \nport, the 'git svn fetch' is flying!!!!  :-)  At Last!\n\nThanks to all that tried to help me...\n\n\nRegards,\n   - Graeme -\n\n-- \nfpGUI Toolkit - a cross-platform GUI toolkit using Free Pascal\nhttp://opensoft.homeip.net/fpgui/\n"}]}
