I'm not exactly sure how to make an existing repo \"shared\" after \nit's been created, but\n\n$ git config core.sharedrepository 1\n\n(which modifies .git/config) and a reasonable chown/chmod -R afterwards \nshould work.\n\nHope this helps,\n Dirk\n"},{"id":"116155","messageId":"20090612141602.GB14628@coredump.intra.peff.net","threadId":"19789","inReplyTo":"4A325E00.6050504@dirk.my1.cc","subject":"Re: use git-daemon by git://IP/path?","fromName":"Jeff King","fromEmail":"peff@peff.net","sentAt":"2009-06-12T14:16:02Z","receivedAt":"2009-06-12T14:16:02Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"peff@peff.net","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/45925?v=4"},"body":"On Fri, Jun 12, 2009 at 03:54:08PM +0200, Dirk Süsserott wrote:\n\n>> Also, in general, how can it be set up, that >1 people have a write \n>> access to the same repository? We use it at work to have 'release'\nrepositories where only a dedicated maintainer and his deputy can\npush to. Our developers push to their 'public' repos and the maintainer\nthen pulls their changes and pushes them to 'release' -- just like Junio \ndoes here :-)\n\n Dirk\n"},{"id":"116164","messageId":"3af572ac0906120848m3ec98242xa654202183cc9fb@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"19789","inReplyTo":"200906121213.13365.Karlis.Repsons@gmail.com","subject":"Re: use git-daemon by git://IP/path?","fromName":"Pau Garcia i Quiles","fromEmail":"pgquiles@elpauer.org","sentAt":"2009-06-12T15:48:53Z","receivedAt":"2009-06-12T15:48:53Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"pgquiles@elpauer.org","avatar":null},"body":"Hello,\n\nIf you are not concerned about security, just make your repository public:\n\nhttp://www.elpauer.org/?p=337\n\nOn Fri, Jun 12, 2009 at 2:13 PM, Kārlis Repsons<karlis.repsons@gmail.com> wrote:\n> Hello git users and writers!\n>\n> I am new to git, but, having read manuals and grasping the concepts of it, I\n> would like to first say thanks to all those, who created it!\n>\n> Things would be fine, but I am having really bad ssh permission problems in\n> here: for example, if there is an empty, initialised git archive and it is\n> pulled to over ssh, the created files have permissions only u=rwX, no more.\n> Then subsequently git pulling doesn't work.
