This is a first step\ntowards making the EGit team provider available as part of the base\nplatform downloads, like the CVS team provider is today.\n\nWe're still trying to sort out everything, because eclipse.org only\noffers CVS and SVN code repositories... and we have a 1,601 commit\nhistory in Git that we'd like to preserve.
