This is what I have:\n\nI have svn clone'd a repo.  I have added a git remote to the project.\nI have pulled from the git repo.  When I attempt to \"svn dcommit\", the\ncommit fails with...\n\nUnable to extract revision information from commit\n26c8e90f67d40d9193fe276f3bcbfdd4e9161730~1\n\nWhat I really want to do is move our primary development support to\ngit (github in particular right now).  I want to setup a job that will\nperiodically grab the latest code from github and push those changes\nto our svn repo.  These will be the only commits made to svn.\nDevelopers will no longer be committing to svn.  We need the svn repo\nkept up to date for a few reasons but do not want to do development\nagainst svn directly.\n\nAny advice would be much appreciated.\n\nThanks in advance.\n\n\n\njeff\n-- \nJeff Brown\nSpringSource\nhttp://www.springsource.com/\n\nAutism Strikes 1 in 166\nFind The Cause ~ Find The Cure\nhttp://www.autismspeaks.org/\n"},{"id":"109647","messageId":"bbd12f0f0903270658o73e9305dj15903f4c50278952@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"18588","inReplyTo":"bbd12f0f0903270617m3c2233b2g6c6e8c3d9a9b50a4@mail.gmail.com","subject":"Re: problems syncing with svn","fromName":"Jeff Brown","fromEmail":"jeff@jeffandbetsy.net","sentAt":"2009-03-27T13:58:43Z","receivedAt":"2009-03-27T13:58:43Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"jeff@jeffandbetsy.net","avatar":"https://gravatar.com/avatar/cd26dfda40a1d0ab3331ff6fce1ef5b0b0d652ee6b65d91001e68d154588f1b8?d=mp&s=160"},"body":"On Fri, Mar 27, 2009 at 9:17 AM, Jeff Brown <jeff@jeffandbetsy.net> wrote:\n> I have found numerous folks having a similar problem but have not\n> found a solution that works for me.  This is what I have:\n>\n> I have svn clone'd a repo.  I have added a git remote to the project.\n> I have pulled from the git repo.  When I attempt to \"svn dcommit\", the\n> commit fails with...\n>\n> Unable to extract revision information from commit\n> 26c8e90f67d40d9193fe276f3bcbfdd4e9161730~1\n>\n> What I really want to do is move our primary development support to\n> git (github in particular right now).  I want to setup a job that will\n> periodically grab the latest code from github and push those changes\n> to our svn repo.  These will be the only commits made to svn.\n> Developers will no longer be committing to svn.  We need the svn repo\n> kept up to date for a few reasons but do not want to do development\n> against svn directly.\n>\n> Any advice would be much appreciated.\n>\n> Thanks in advance.\n>\n\nIf repo details will help, the git repo is at\nhttp://github.com/grails/grails/tree/master and the original svn repo\nwhich that came from is at https://svn.codehaus.org/grails/trunk/.\n\nThanks again.\n\n\n\nJeff\n-- \nJeff Brown\nSpringSource\nhttp://www.springsource.com/\n\nAutism Strikes 1 in 166\nFind The Cause ~ Find The Cure\nhttp://www.autismspeaks.org/\n"}]}
