Is that even possible?\n\nNo, there's Makefile support:\n\n make htmldir=/path/to/wherever install-html\n\nbut the autoconf stuff wasn't hooking into it properly (which is what\nthe patch I sent should do).\n\nWhat I meant by \"incomplete\" is that most people just use the Makefile\ndirectly without autoconf, so we never notice when bugs like this are\nhiding. Thus the bugs tend to hang around for a while until somebody\nsubmits a patch (which I was hoping you would do after getting it to\nwork).\n\n-Peff\n"},{"id":"107015","messageId":"vpq4oyht85f.fsf@bauges.imag.fr","threadId":"18031","inReplyTo":"c115fd3c0902260648g3cc9bfeap58823e53a9dc72e6@mail.gmail.com","subject":"Re: `./configure --XXdir=` ignored?","fromName":"Matthieu Moy","fromEmail":"matthieu.moy@imag.fr","sentAt":"2009-02-26T17:33:48Z","receivedAt":"2009-02-26T17:33:48Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"git@matthieu-moy.fr","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/14709?v=4"},"body":"Tim Visher <tim.visher@gmail.com> writes:\n\n> Hello Everyone,\n>\n> I'm working on getting git 1.6.2-rc2 built.
