For what I was\nwanting to use it for, it worked OK.\n\nHowever, I then started getting crashes when using the Windows explorer. I would\nclick on a folder to look at its contents and, whammo, Windows would crash. It\njust happened every now and again, not all the time.\n\nI uninstalled msysgit and now the crashes are not happening any more. (VMWare is virtual\nhardware, so buggy versions count as \"bad hardware\")\n\nEither of the above can cause problems that appear and disappear based\non unrelated factors, which makes them hard to track down.
