In particular it didn't work on\nWindows... \n\nThe history rewrited killed it, but re-adding it would not be to hard, It's mostly about passing two explicit\nversions to compare, which is already done in \n\nThe old version disappeared in 07f04ae5b1771069667028d225196daff29402a0, checkout out and rebuild\nif you are really desperate. Reverting it is an option, but that is not trivial either so going forward and \nreimplementing it (correctly this time) is a more appealing approach. Dependig on your needs, i.e. if\nyou only don't need clone/fetch/push you could go back to the commit mentioned above. The closest\ntagged version is v0.3.1.
