The one for RHEL or Fedora Core, or the one from\nhttp://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/RPMS/SRPMS/ ?\n\n> It generates a lot of things but no RPM for gitweb.\n> \n> Is there any place with an official spec file? Or has anyone made one\n> which he could share?\n\ngit source comes with a spec file template. If you have a git checkout\n(or source tree) then \"make git.spec\" will generate it.\n\nIt does not generate a gitweb subpackage, but you only need to add a few\nlines, following the example of the archimport package, say.\n\nOr, even simpler: Just take the srpm from Fedora 10 and rebuild (gitweb\nis a subpackage of git in F10, so you need the git srpm (e.g.\n'yumdownloader --source gitweb' on an F10 instance). Installing the srpm\n(as non-root) gives you the spec, I'm sure you know ;)\n\nMichael\n"},{"id":"96869","messageId":"20081201164246.GY20204@inocybe.teonanacatl.org","threadId":"16539","inReplyTo":"4933FFC6.8080306@morey-chaisemartin.com","subject":"Re: SPEC files for Git","fromName":"Todd Zullinger","fromEmail":"tmz@pobox.com","sentAt":"2008-12-01T16:42:46Z","receivedAt":"2008-12-01T16:42:46Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"tmz@pobox.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/806319?v=4"},"body":"Nicolas Morey-Chaisemartin wrote:\n> I'm trying to recompile gitweb1.6.0.4-1 for RHEL5, but I'm missing\n> the spec file.
