There are, however, also a few nice\nusability improvements, such as support for reverting uncommitted and\nunstaged changes and reloading of repository references when refreshing\nthe views using them.  Note that this version of tig depends on git\nversion 1.5.4 or newer!\n\nIn the pipeline, I have a scary patch containing 859 insertions and 462\ndeletions, which I plan to release as the equally scary version 0.13.\nThe patch imports git's run-command.c module, which should remove\nproblems related to using stdio and will also remove the need to do\nnasty things such as shell quoting. This is still a work in progress and\nneeds some more polishing and testing, but should anybody be interested,\nit is available in the wip/run-command branch (to be rebased at will).\n\nWhat is tig?\n------------\nTig is an ncurses-based text-mode interface for git. It functions mainly\nas a git repository browser, but can also assist in staging changes for\ncommit at chunk level and act as a pager for output from various git\ncommands.\n\n - Homepage:\thttp://jonas.nitro.dk/tig/\n - Manual:\thttp://jonas.nitro.dk/tig/manual.html\n - Tarballs:\thttp://jonas.nitro.dk/tig/releases/\n - Git URL:\tgit://repo.or.cz/tig.git \n - Gitweb:\thttp://repo.or.cz/w/tig.git\n\nRelease notes\n-------------\nImprovements:\n\n - Status view: revert uncommitted diff chunks and unstaged files with\n   changes. Bound to '!' by default.\n - Main view: use --topo-order also when rev-list arguments are given on\n   the command line.\n - Log view: support for refreshing.\n\nBug fixes:\n\n - Status view: use ls-files' --exclude-standard so user specific ignore\n   rules are effective. The option was added in git version 1.5.4.\n - Stage view: fix assertion failure triggered when updating while\n   status view is not displayed.\n - Help view: avoid confusion by showing \"(no key)\" instead of \"'?'\" for\n   unbound requests.\n - Reload repository references when refreshing the main (and log) view.\n - Do not maximize views when refreshing.\n\nChange summary\n--------------\nThe diffstat and log summary for changes made in this release.\n\n NEWS                    |   22 +++\n TODO                    |    9 +-\n VERSION                 |    2 +-\n configure.ac            |    8 +-\n contrib/announcement.sh |   53 ++++++\n manual.txt              |    2 +\n tig.c                   |  381 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++------------\n 7 files changed, 351 insertions(+), 126 deletions(-)\n\nJonas Fonseca (25):\n      Add script for preparing release announcements\n      TODO: support for jumping to parents' blame in the blame view\n      status: add support for checking out files with unstaged changes\n      main: automatically refresh after run requests\n      Main: use --topo-order when arguments are given on the command line\n      Cleanup exclude rule setup by using ls-files --exclude-standard flag\n      Also allow files to be checked out from stage view\n      Avoid refreshing views when checkout is canceled by user\n      Reload repository references when refreshing the main view\n      Make GIT_CONFIG only contain the config subcommand\n      Improve handling of unmatched quotes in ~/.tigrc\n      Cleanup and make option argument strings const\n      Improve checkout error reporting\n      Show complete shortlog for small releases\n      Simplify view refreshing by adding new OPEN_REFRESH flag for open_view\n      Make OPEN_REFRESH imply OPEN_NOMAXIMIZE\n      Add support for refreshing the log view\n      Fix bug introduced in commit for using --exclude-standard flag\n      Clear the status line when closing a view\n      Help view: use \"(no key)\" instead of \"'?'\" to not confuse unbound actions\n      Help view: move requests from the Misc group into separate groups\n      Consolidate and share view resetting via new reset_view()\n      Avoid triggering assertion failure when reloading the status view\n      Rename checkout to revert and support individual diff chunks reverts\n      tig-0.12.1\n\n-- \nJonas Fonseca\n"}]}
