How do you create .mbox files? What\n> is your workflow when you deal with mails?\n\nWhen I receive patches via mutt, I usually apply them with this:\n\n macro index, pager A '<pipe-message>git<space>am<enter>'\n\nwhich will apply in your current directory. For my git folder, I use a\nhook to always apply to my git repo:\n\n folder-hook git macro index, pager A\n '<pipe-message>cd<space>$HOME/compile/git<space>&&<space>git<space>am<enter>'\n\nIf there are several patches in a series, I may pull them into an mbox\nand apply separately:\n\n [in mutt]\n T pattern [or tag message individually, or Esc-T to tag thread]\n ;C ~/name-of-patch-topic\n\n [in another terminal]\n cd /path/to/repo\n git am ~/name-of-patch-topic\n\nTo send one or two patches, I create an mbox and then use mutt to send:\n\n git format-patch -s --stdout \"$@\" >.mbox\n mutt -f .mbox\n rm -f .mbox\n\nand in my muttrc:\n\n macro index, pager b \":set edit_headers=yes<enter><resend-message>:set edit_headers=no<enter>\"\n\nHope that helps,\n\n-Peff\n"},{"id":"89898","messageId":"200809061111.34219.jnareb@gmail.com","threadId":"15304","inReplyTo":"200808312329.17312.jnareb@gmail.com","subject":"[ANNOUNCE] Git User's Survey 2008","fromName":"Jakub Narebski","fromEmail":"jnareb@gmail.com","sentAt":"2008-09-06T09:11:33Z","receivedAt":"2008-09-06T09:11:33Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"jnareb@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/2706?v=4"},"body":"Hi all,\n\nWe would like to ask you a few questions about your use of the Git\nversion control system.
