I think these are general improvements\n(or benign changes) and so I am submitting them.\n\nWith these patches and the others which I will maintain privately,\nI can compile git on solaris using the native c compiler and pass\nnearly all of the test suite with the native shell in /usr/xpg4/bin/sh\n(i.e. ksh). The remaining bits of the test suite that do not pass are\nrelated to a broken iconv or an ancient build environment.\n\nHere are the tests I am skipping:\n\nGIT_SKIP_TESTS='\n t3900.1[0-289] t3900.2[023]\n t3901.*\n t5000.1[0-24-689] t5000.2[01]\n t5100.[56] t5100.10\n t6030.1[2-9] t6030.2[0-9]\n t9301.4\n'\n\n-brandon\n"},{"id":"84378","messageId":"87Bh5SXA-KuFXIH8x6SYWIKIuXCbQCyMC2mBjl-7Ggww-xIYGCtKEA@cipher.nrlssc.navy.mil","threadId":"14598","inReplyTo":"xBk5x6Gn4j_BxeOlNdnKZYx9EVCDUf3daWtIO2qp-b8jRKgjlQ8spQ@cipher.nrlssc.navy.mil","subject":"Re: Patches for test suite on sunos","fromName":"Brandon Casey","fromEmail":"casey@nrlssc.navy.mil","sentAt":"2008-07-22T21:30:03Z","receivedAt":"2008-07-22T21:30:03Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"drafnel@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/921167?v=4"},"body":"Brandon Casey wrote:\n> The following set of patches is a subset of patches\n\nWell, those patches were all supposed to be sent as a\nreply to this message, but I can't use git-send-email\nand it turns out thunderbird replaces the message-id\nfor messages when you 'Edit As New...'
