Now, we have some guys here that'd rather \ncontinue to use the Eclipse CVS plug-in than working directly with Git, so I \nthought I could tell them to try git-cvsserver.\n\nNow, git-cvsserver complains about an existing index file in the server \nrepository. If I just remove the index file on the server, everything seems \nto work just fine. But 'rm .git/index'  just doesn't feel right... what I \nunderstand so far: the index file seems to contain information about the \nfiles in the tree, but it doesn't exist in a bare repository. So, is there a \nway to 'convert' a repository to a bare repository so that git-cvsimport and \ngit-cvsserver still work on it? Or, how would you do it?\n\nThanks!\n\nMirko\n\n-- \nMirko Stocker\nInstitut für Software - http://ifs.hsr.ch - +41 55 222 4713\nHSR Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil\nOberseestr 10, Postfach 1475, CH-8640 Rapperswil\n"}]}
