Everything works as expected when I export the same  \nrepository on a URL without ~.\n\nTest case 1:\n% git svn clone -s --username michaelw http://svn.example.com/~michaelw/project/\nInitialized empty Git repository in .git/\nUsing higher level of URL: http://svn.example.com/~michaelw/project => http://svn.example.com/%7Emichaelw/project\nW: Ignoring error from SVN, path probably does not exist: (175002): RA  \nlayer request failed: REPORT request failed on '/~michaelw/project/! \nsvn/bc/32': REPORT of '/~michaelw/project/!svn/bc/32': 200 OK (http://svn.example.com \n)\nW: Do not be alarmed at the above message git-svn is just searching  \naggressively for old history.\nThis may take a while on large repositories\nPath 'http:' was probably deleted:\nRA layer request failed: REPORT request failed on '/~michaelw/project/! \nsvn/bc/32': REPORT of '/~michaelw/project/!svn/bc/32': 200 OK (http://svn.example.com \n)\nWill attempt to follow revisions r0 .. r32 committed before the deletion\n\nTwo things to note:\n* In this case the svn-remote section in .git/config looks wrong, too:\n[svn-remote \"svn\"]\n\turl = http://svn.example.com/%7Emichaelw/project\n\tfetch = http://svn.example.com/~michaelw/project/trunk:refs/remotes/trunk\n\tbranches = http:/svn.example.com/~michaelw/project/branches/*:refs/ \nremotes/*\n\ttags = http:/svn.example.com/~michaelw/project/tags/*:refs/remotes/ \ntags/*\n\n* The line \"Path 'http:' was probably deleted:\" apparently comes from  \nthe \"http:\" prefix in the URL.\n\nTest case 2:\n% git svn clone -s --username michaelw http://svn.example.com/%7Emichaelw/project/\nInitialized empty Git repository in .git/\nApache got a malformed URI: REPORT request failed on '/~michaelw/ \nproject/!svn/vcc/default': Unusable URI: it does not refer to this  \nrepository at /Users/michaelw/sys/i686-apple-darwin9/bin/git-svn line  \n3837\n\n(Both tests are with the patch from <20080418131204.GA53634@roadkill.foldr.org \n > applied, so git-svn line numbers might be different.)\n\n\nCheers,\nMichael\n"}]}
