It brings many documentation\nimprovements, bug fixes, and some much needed updates to work better\nwith git (e.g. by using --no-color and avoiding to use git-diff). On\nstartup, tig will now attempt to first read a system-wide configuration\nfile before loading the user specific configuration file. Cherry picking\nfrom inside tig has been generalized, making it possible to wire\nexternal commands, which can access information about the current\ncommit, to a keybinding.\n\nAmong possible incompatible changes, option parsing has been changed to\nbe more similar with gitk's by deprecating almost all tig options, so to\nstartup in the status view use `tig status'! Building the documentation\n(sadly?) now depends on DocBook XSL 1.72 to reduce the number of\naccumulated AsciiDoc and XSL hacks.\n\nIn the pipeline for the next release are improved rename support in the\nstatus view and encoding and drawing fixes from Dominik Vogt. The\ndeprecated options will probably also go away, including the special\nhandling of \"--\".\n\nWhat is tig?\n------------\nTig is a ncurses-based text-mode interface for git.
