I initially git-svn fetched\nit using svn://. Now I have been given svn commit access, which uses\nsvn+ssh:// on their server. I edited my .git/config and set url to\nthe svn+ssh address and rewriteRoot to the svn:// address I wasusing\nbefore. This appears to work fine for doing more read operations,\nsuch as svn fetch.\n\nI am having a problem, though, with svn dcommit and svn rebase. I\nbelieve both are related to this rewriteRoot. When I run either of\nthese, I see:\n\nUnable to determine upstream SVN information from working tree history\n\nLooking at the working_head_info and find_by_url subs in git-svn, it\nappears that neither is considering rewriting. One of them needs to\nbe, I believe, rewriting the URL from git-svn-id back to the \"true\"\nURL over on the server. This causes it to never match any of the\nremote sections in .git/config.\n\nI'm not good enough with Perl anymore, and certainly not goot enough\nwith this program, to whip up a patch. Can anyone help with this?\n\n\n"},{"id":"71443","messageId":"slrnft5sjp.if8.jgoerzen@katherina.lan.complete.org","threadId":"12574","inReplyTo":"slrnft55gq.1so.jgoerzen@katherina.lan.complete.org","subject":"Re: git-svn breaks lots with rewriteRoot","fromName":"John Goerzen","fromEmail":"jgoerzen@complete.org","sentAt":"2008-03-08T20:09:29Z","receivedAt":"2008-03-08T20:09:29Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"jgoerzen@complete.org","avatar":null},"body":"On 2008-03-08, John Goerzen <jgoerzen@complete.org> wrote:\n> believe both are related to this rewriteRoot.
