For git, it's better to commit splitted monthly-files\n     (the atomic messages have some redundancy in the replies and forwards).\n\n2. For zip, it's better to zip non-splitted monthly-files.\n"},{"id":"69668","messageId":"998d0e4a0802230126r392038frf0e49d771ffb978c@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"12268","inReplyTo":"2050562.kVPcb3l6ef@mid.thomas-huehn.de","subject":"Re: How small is git-packed mailing list vs zipped mailing list?","fromName":"J.C. Where in the git repository do I find the git\n>  mailing list?\n\nStill nowhere but almost humans are still insensible in it.\n\nIt's as a knife that is used to cut meat but too is used to cut rope, to cut\ncables of light, to cut tubes, to attack or to unscrew screws as the actor\nMcGiver does it.\n\nIf the diff format (or mails's delta) is extended and improved to simplify\n'> ' or '| ' columns then the packed can gain much its reduction of size!.\n\n   ;)\n"}]}
