Unfortunately, gitweb is preprocessing all the content\ninside http://domain/repo.dir/ , so the command:\n\n    git clone http://git.vpsaruba.homeunix.org/bproofs.git\n\nfails while trying to read XHTML generated pages.\n\nI'm not yet sure if this is behaviour recently changed in gitweb but I\nsuppose this \"hack\" once worked (otherwise it wouldn't have been\ndocumented).\n\nMy apache/vhost configuration follows:\n\nScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ \"/var/www/cgi-bin/\"\n\n<Directory \"/var/www/cgi-bin\">\n    Options Indexes FollowSymlinks ExecCGI\n    AllowOverride None\n    Order allow,deny\n    Allow from all\n</Directory>\n\n<VirtualHost 62.149.168.100:80>\n    ServerName git.vpsaruba.homeunix.org:80\n    DocumentRoot /var/git\n    RewriteEngine on\n    RewriteRule ^/(.*\\.git/(?!/?(info|objects|refs)).*)?$\n/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi%{REQUEST_URI}  [L,PT]\n</VirtualHost>\n\nAny consideration is appreciated.\n\nThanks,\nFrancesco\n\n[1] http://git.kernel.org/?p=git/git.git;a=blob_plain;f=gitweb/README;hb=HEAD\n"}]}
